Farm Cottage

Herriesdale Farm Cottage is on the B794, 1 mile from Haugh of Urr, where there is a shop and pub, and 3 miles from Dalbeattie. The train station is 16 miles away at Dumfries and buses regularly pass the cottage.

The cottage, which is in its own grounds, has two bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed and the other with two single beds.

There is a bathroom; sitting room with coal fire and colour television; shower room, and kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine and immersion heater. The cottage also has oil central heating and there is a grass area to the side of the house with garden furniture and a barbeque.

The house is fully equipped, except for linen, and electricity is metered (£1). A cot is also available. There is free fishing for tenants, on the River Urr, which is about 100 yards away. Beaches (8 miles), forests, walks, places of historical interest, golf, pony trekking, etc are all within easy reach.

Pets are welcome, by prior arrangement.

Open all year (October and November are good for fishing). Price per week £240 - £280.
